Exhausted

Exhaustion....

or just restless? gee..I don't know. Sometimes, I feel like going to the beach and just swim in the water. But the thing about me is, although I love the beach and the water so much..somehow..I hate the sand..the feeling of having grains of sand between my toes is quite a distress for me.I am always having this weird feeling; as though the sand is everywhere inside my home...in the shower...on  my bed....on the sofa....That is the weird feeling whenever I came back from beach trips.

Being in Kuching, it's a blessing as we have beautiful beaches nearby. The nearest would have to be Damai Beach. It is a 30 mins drive from Kuching City.  There are also nice secluded beaches at the Bako National Park, also a short drive away from Kuching City. If you prefer the roadtrip kinda feeling, Sematan Beach  and Siar Beach would be the wonderful choices as those beaches are situated in Lundu district.Almost 2 hours drive from Kuching.

 I checked through my phone and laptop for some pictures and I found pictures of these wonderful beaches. So far, I think the best beach is in Bako National Park. I visited Bako twice already and the recent one was in April. My friends and I hiked up the hills around the park and managed to a glimpse of this beautiful beach. It is secluded and you have to travel on foot to get there. You can hire a boat too if you're too lazy to hike through the jungle.

I stayed overnight at Damai Puri Resort & Spa Kuching back in 2012 during the Rainforest Music Festival. It is a private beach and managed by the hotel. It is highly recommended if you want to pamper yourself as they have almost everything here. but...everything comes with a price... :)

 I've been here, like.....since forever. Sematan Beach was my first beach; I think I was 4 y.o?! It is open to public likewise with Siar Beach. It is a perfect beach if you love the long stretch of beach (Sematan). Siar is the total opposite. It has shorter length and looks narrow/steep( the ocean floor). Do be careful if you are not a good swimmer as Siar Beach is notoriously famous with drowning incidents.

Funny thing is, I am very particular about that small detail. And my friends would normally rolled their eyes in disbelief due to my aberrant anxiety towards sand. Now...I am in my bedroom and blogging away, browsing through the photos in my folders....

Stiff Neck and Pillow

So I woke up and felt a sharp pain behind my neck. It was quite mild when I just woke up but it worsen by the hours. Technically, I was driving in a very static mode. I had to move my upper torso just look at the side mirror before making any exit or making any turns! I am pretty people think that I am weird that day. Stopped by a supermarket and bought a medicinal plaster for my neck. It is called Tokusen Strong.A medicinal plaster that you paste on your body.... We call it "koyok" at home :) It is soothing and it has a warm feeling. It also has a strong spicy smell. Some people dislike the smell but I quite like it for the record! The Chronicle :Sungai Padas (White Water Rafting)

My second trip to Kota Kinabalu this year and this time around I'm killing two birds with one stone. I booked another trip to the Padas River in Sabah for White Water Rafting and joined a 10KM Marathon. As usual, my partner in crime would have to be Melisa. She persuaded me to join the marathon and in return I coaxed her into agreeing for a white water rafting adventure down the rapids. White Water Rafting (3 May 2014) We woke up early in the morning (5 a.m.) and headed straight to a 24-hour convenience store for a quick breakfast. The shuttle van came shortly after that. There were approximately 8-9 people in the van and our driver cum our guide; Ash drove us down to Beaufort town. It was an hour and thirty minutes drive to Beaufort. Why I deactivated my FB

There are a few solid reasons that drove me to this path of having my FB deactivated: #1 It Is an Addiction I somehow came to a simple conclusion that I might be addicted to FB. I actually sense that revelation 2 years ago but I was in a denial state. I told myself countless times that it is normal to check/ go into my FB account like everyday. I reasoned to myself by saying that checking FB is as important as checking my office emails. However, I ended up hogging and stalking people's pages most of the time. Somehow, I come to term that it is unhealthy and quite disturbing. I don't want FB to control my life and make myself a public nuisance. #2 It Is a Silly Distraction I discovered that my FB has becoming my number 1 priority whenever I am at thedesk. My office emails and heaps of works came later. I always say this to myself; 5 mins of FB wouldn't hurt but truth is...I ended up wasting almost 45 mins of my daily life and wandering aimlessly about..in and out...
