If only I could turn back the time

yes....If only I could turn back the time. I would have done things differently. I would treat myself and the people around me better perhaps. I would have been braver and ask someone out. There are a lot of things that I would have done differently or avoid doing even. There will be a time in our life that we would just sit down and ponder and wonder if things would have been totally different or greater if only we did them differently. One of the things that left a big hole in me is when I lost a very good friend for more than 22 years... I would not have a big fight with my best friend back in elementary school. I used to have a very good friend. He was the first person to talk to me when I've moved to my new school. We were inseparable! We rode bicycles to school together, swam in the public pool twice a week and did lotsa fun things together. Until we had a fight over a very stupid thing. I forgot what was the fuss but I do admit that being an Aries, I handled things "d

Why I deactivated my FB

There are a few solid reasons that drove me to this path of having my FB deactivated: #1 It Is an Addiction I somehow came to a simple conclusion that I might be addicted to FB. I actually sense that revelation 2 years ago but I was in a denial state. I told myself countless times that it is normal to check/ go into my FB account like everyday. I reasoned to myself by saying that checking FB is as important as checking my office emails. However, I ended up hogging and stalking people's pages most of the time. Somehow, I come to term that it is unhealthy and quite disturbing. I don't want FB to control my life and make myself a public nuisance. #2 It Is a Silly Distraction I discovered that my FB has becoming my number 1 priority whenever I am at thedesk. My office emails and heaps of works came later. I always say this to myself; 5 mins of FB wouldn't hurt but truth is...I ended up wasting almost 45 mins of my daily life and wandering aimlessly about..in and out

Stiff Neck and Pillow

Image
So I woke up and felt a sharp pain behind my neck. It was quite mild when I just woke up but it worsen by the hours. Technically, I was driving in a very static mode. I had to move my upper torso just look at the side mirror before making any exit or making any turns! I am pretty people think that I am weird that day. Stopped by a supermarket and bought a medicinal plaster for my neck. It is called Tokusen Strong.A medicinal plaster that you paste on your body.... We call it "koyok" at home :) It is soothing and it has a warm feeling. It also has a strong spicy smell. Some people dislike the smell but I quite like it for the record! It reminds me of old Chinese medicines...as Chinese traditional remedies are quite strong and effective. It made me sleepy too! So, I had to work the whole day with my stiff neck. Went out for lunch with my stiff neck too and took shower later in the evening with my stiff neck. Apparently, we the Bidayuhs have a very o

What You Need to Know about Malaysian Time

Yes, Malaysian Time does exist! Despite the fact it should comply with the Greenwich  Mean Time (GMT), for us here in Malaysia; we have a void of space in between.Whatever is written here does not really require anyone to do any difficult mathematics or formulas in order to master the understanding of Malaysian Time . One might want to know that Malaysian Time has the void of space. How is this Void of Space exist in Malaysian Time? Remember, what I'm writing here is based on the general truth and it does not make me any less Malaysian or me trying to badmouth my fellow Malaysian; not at all. Afterall, sharing is caring. So let me explain: #1 Malaysian Time means "30 mins extra" When making an appointment with a Malaysian, you need to know that a true blue Malaysian will need extra 30 minutes from the agreed time. Am I saying my fellow Malaysian are late???No.Not at all, here is when the Void of Space rule is applicable in Malaysian Time . It is pretty normal to wait

Things you need to know about Malaysian Receptionist (Hotel)

Well, it almost ruined my whole holiday mood because of an unacceptable attitude displayed by a proud receptionist at Quality Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, and yet they still have the gut to call it Quality Hotel?!How ironic! Flew to KL early in the morning (6a.m) with my mum on the 28th of August. It was a smooth flight and we landed around 8.10am at KLIA. I purposely chose to fly with MAS because my mum has never been to KLIA before; besides the flight tickets are so cheap (RM78) for two. We took the KL Express (RM35 perpax) and it only took us 28 mins to arrive in KL Central. Checked in quite early around 9.30am but the room was not ready yet so we left the luggage and went to Sogo instead. We were one of those early people who came to the mall and my mum was in joy looking at all the things in the mall..haha...So we spent about 4 hours there and my mum shopped like kraziiii!!! Checked in at 2pm. Had a shock of my life when we were given a deluxe room (1 king size bed) instead of a t

I noticed that I really have to work real hard for my belly...That Ibu Oka's Babi Guling is still there..jiggle and mingle with my Sunday Mee Kolok...ahahahah

Bye-Bye Bali...

Woke up around 6am and had breakfast at the Balcony. We had burger for breakfast and it was delicious! Tanaya Bed & Breakfast... I'm soooo gonna haunt you in the near future.I will stay here again! Headed to the airport almost 8am for our 9.10am flight. Ngurah Rai International Airport is just a short distance away from Legian . Our driver dropped us at the departure terminal and we had to drag our bags for almost 1 kilometre before we reach the security checkpoint. The flight departed on time and we arrived in Singapore's Changi International Airport around 11.45am. There were longggggggggg queue at the Immigration Checkpoint (had to wait for almost 20 mins). Got our bags 20 minutes later as we couldn't find our bags (apparently, it was placed by the side of the conveyor belt by the airport staff for another arrival by other airline). We headed for Terminal 3 and had lunch there. We flew again at 5.35pm to Kuching . It was a pleasant flight home and I just dozed

Ubud-Krisna-Tanah Lot-Legian: Day 3

Image
We woke up early and I headed for the pool and swam a few baby-strokes(the pool is rather small actually)..haha...Had breakfast and as usual the staff were so accommodating and kind to us. For a small boutique hotel, I would have to say; they are doing a wonderful job in F&B department because guests are given 3 options of breakfast, unlike from where I'm from, most hotels would just serve us with fried noodles or fried rice or porridge. That's it. So, I had the American Breakfast (Omelette,Bacon,Fruits, tea and a glass of juice) After breakfast, we strolled along the street of Ubud. As it is still early, most of the shops were still closed. One thing I noticed, it is quite difficult to find public restroom in Ubud.My bladder felt like bursting (after tea and juice)...yeah serve me right for not peeing before headed out. I was literally racewalking around Ubud and holding onnnnnnnnn and yeah finally I found one in Ubud Market!!!Hallelujah! That was the only phrase I he

Morning    -Barong Dance & Batuan Temple   Batuan Temple Barong Dance  So we checked out after having very heavy breakfast at "Padi-Padi". We went straight for the Barong & Keris Dance in Sanur District . To be honest, it wasn't really my cup of tea. The entrance fee was a bomb; Indonesian Rupiah 100,000.00 per person. Spent almost an hour before heading for a little shopping at Sukawati. Next time, I will not go for Barong Dance anymore. We stopped by Batuan Temple (open for public), paid for the entrance fee and was given a sarong to wear. Most of the temple visits require visitors to wear sarong (if you are wearing short pants) or simply to tie a yellow coloured band around your waist (if you are wearing long pants). -Sukawati Market For those who love to shop for souvernirs and whatnot; Sukawati Market is a must. You can get loads of t-shirt for only Indonesian Rupiah 100,000.00. I, however; did not shop anything there (
