5 Baby Steps How to Convince Yourself to Deactivate Your FB Account

Below are just a list of suggestion; solely based on my personal judgement.

Step #1 Self Reflection

Correction:Do not use the reflection of this glass to check yourself out.

Think about those days (years ago/maybe decade in my case) where your life was so carefree and fun MINUS FB.  Remember the time when you had plenty of times for real hobbies like collecting stamps, badges or fishing. Unlike now, you are so busy with social games online with total strangers. I've always suspected that I might have been playing games against an 80 y.o. granny like candy crush and what not. Reflect on the positive aspects of life without FB. Think about those precious hours that you have wasted on FB and its apps. Once you have done with your reflection and finally convinced that you have indeed wasted your youth (or what is left of it..)...Move on to Step 2.

STEP #2 Browse Through Your FB Acc

Be bold. You have decided that FB may have cost you all the precious time in the world. Now, log into your FB account one last time. Browse through quickly and be very brave because the next step is not for the faint hearts. Look through the facebook account(s).

Kindly browse through your own FB acc and not other. Pffffft!!!

STEP #3 Look into Your Friend List and Try to do Headcount

Try to count just how many real close friends you have on FB that are your reaaaaaallll close friends. Now,  we would normally hoard people into our FB friend list and most of the time, we don't really know them. They are friends of your friends, sometimes, your so-called friends. Try to count if you have more that 50 friends who actually live nearby and on your list. btw, another thing is...Don't be surprised if your pictures were downloaded, shared or even renamed and could be used as a fake account. I've encountered an account with my picture used as the profile picture and with a Vietnamese name. Hah!!! And so I thought I might have a long lost twin in Hanoi but as I looked closer; the picture was actually snatched from my own album folder/friends' acc.

STEP #4 Be Strong

Don't listen to your doubts....Think about all the great things that you could achieve when you are no longer addicted/bound to FB. Think about your future. Think about your hobbies...real hobbies...like Hiking or Swimming... Yes!!You can do it! There is more to life than FB!

STEP #5 Deactivate Your FB Account

Deactivate does not mean that you are deleting your account FOREVER. It is just a temporary measure taken to put your life back in line! Yes!It is temporary indeed! You can reactivate your account if you somehow discovered that you're just couldn't breathe, function well without your FB. Maybe you ought to take it as a challenge to yourself. Challenge yourself and see just how far(long) you can live without FB.

Day 1 (3 Hours and counting....) without FB
