Things you need to know about Malaysian Receptionist (Hotel)
Well, it almost ruined my whole holiday mood because of an unacceptable attitude displayed by a proud receptionist at Quality Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, and yet they still have the gut to call it Quality Hotel?!How ironic!
Flew to KL early in the morning (6a.m) with my mum on the 28th of August. It was a smooth flight and we landed around 8.10am at KLIA. I purposely chose to fly with MAS because my mum has never been to KLIA before; besides the flight tickets are so cheap (RM78) for two. We took the KL Express (RM35 perpax) and it only took us 28 mins to arrive in KL Central.
Checked in quite early around 9.30am but the room was not ready yet so we left the luggage and went to Sogo instead. We were one of those early people who came to the mall and my mum was in joy looking at all the things in the mall..haha...So we spent about 4 hours there and my mum shopped like kraziiii!!!
Checked in at 2pm. Had a shock of my life when we were given a deluxe room (1 king size bed) instead of a twin room as requested in my booking. I was so pissed at the receptionist for his incompetence and very dry-in-your-face answer. I came up with a simple summary about Malaysian Receptionist at the Hotel Front Desk.

Things you need to know about Malaysian Receptionist(mostly...not all)
1. They will only show their compassion towards you if your eyes are blue or you have blond hair or you sounded foreign. The rest of us, sub-human for them.
2. They are always RIGHT and you are always the wrong opposite party. They are almost God-like in a way.
3. They are not trained to answer your questions rather they let you think about the answer(s) after you have asked them.
4. They speak a very different variant of English; let me say...I-mumble-fast-and-platonic- English. Forgive me if I'm wrong, as a trained English Teacher. I still can't really understand what English they use...It's either me or the receptionist who is having problem with the language.
5. The fav phrase used to blame the customer instead of rectifying their fault. Your room is subjected to availability and as payment as been made, there's nothing we can do about it.
Ok, let's just say I picked the top 5 things about them.
I will never want to stay in Quality Hotel Kuala Lumpur ever again!
p/s: They really have to learn a lot from the Balinese or Thais. I love Malaysia but these few bad apples ruined it
